River Colne

Description

The Club has a number of stretches of the River Colne which runs through the Town of Colchester. These stretches are locally known as Bakers Lane, Avenue of Remembrance (up to the concrete bridge), Middle Mill, The Narrows, The Wides and Marriages. Some of the stretches can get very weedy in the summer. All stretches hold most species of fish including Bream, Rudd, Roach, Perch, Chub and Pike with a few stray Tench, Carp, Dace and Gudgeon. There are three disabled platforms in the Castle Park Millpool.
