Description
This 2 acre lake is becoming a bag-up fishery with match weights of 100lb plus becoming more and more common It is located on the right hand side of the lane leading to Lodge Farm opposite Pump Hill Garage St Osyth (basic map given in membership package).
The lake is used for irrigation purposes hence in summer the water level drops from 16 foot down to as little as 4 foot. It is fishable from 2 out of the 3 banks, with the third one gradually being cleared; fishing is from the swims between the trees.
There is no weed and very few features to cast to especially in summer with the low water levels.
The lake holds mainly small Common & Mirror Carp (some specimens), Rudd, Roach and also with a few Perch and skimmer Bream.
Rules
Night fishing allowed with night permit only. Open all year round. Fishing is allowed during the following times on the dates as follows:
MAY TO SEPTEMBER, inclusive - 5.00am - 10.00pm
OCTOBER TO APRIL, inclusive - 7.00am - 8.00pm
Fishing in both lakes, to the left and right of Lodge Lane.
Fishing from numbered pegs only
PARKING: on grass verge or car park, no parking, loading or unloading on the new road or layby unless fishing a Sunday club match.
